You guys have gone through some trouble to get this display to work with the cupcade image so I'm hoping you can help point me in the right direction so I can patch my Raspbian image to do the same. Testing through the composite video everything works great, but when I connect the PiTFT display and try to launch a game I just get a console output with some messages from the emulator and never actually see the game itself. So, since I am planning to use Raspbian and some emulators, I created a second SD card with Retropie on it and loaded a bunch of various roms. Obviously before I go through the trouble of printing a Gameboy-like case for everything to go into I want to make sure everything works. I'm also in the process of hacking a USB keyboard into a smaller keyboard using a perfboard and a bunch of tactile switches. My plan was to create a handheld device that could be used both as a retro gaming platform and a small computer, So I figured I would just use Raspbian and set up emulators myself. I guess this is a question I should have asked prior to purchasing but after seeing that the Pigrrl and Cupcade both use this display, I thought 'It should work fine'. I recently picked up a resistive touch PiTFT display and got it set up using your instructions so I now have proper video output both in console and the graphical interface but now the problem I am running into is that it doesn't seem to work with any emulators.
